You guys are all jerks. Skateboarding on the street IS illegal. Supposedly cool guys who are not all that young skating down a lame handicap ramp in front of a school is pathetic. As a neighborhood resident it’s annoying and distracting to hear the constant scraping and noise you make trying to stay on your boards. And the patch of grass with a tree that has a protective 1-foot bar on the street side, that you try to do stunts off of is equally distracting. I work at home (and pay taxes) and it’s nerve-wracking to have thoughts continually interrupted by your lame attempts at coolness. Oh, and when you nearly miss pedestrians without a thought, how can you possibly blame them? They have a right to be walking on the sidewalk. You don’t have a right to be skateboarding on it. Perhaps the fact that you never wear helmets will someday solve the problem. You deserve what you get. Dumbasses all!

Well fortunately.. six year old kids won’t have to skateboard in the street anymore then scooter kids.. thank goodness you don’t make the laws.

Unfortunately, what constitutes “reckless” seems subjective. To me it’s not only a nuissance, but goddamned unsafe for pedestrians as well as skateboarders and should be completely banned.
