The 2010 Maloof Money Cup is just around the corner with the first stop in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, NY June 5th and 6th. Not only is this the first time MMC has been to the “Big Apple” but this will also be the first time we build a permanent skate park! Construction of the 16,000-square-foot skate park (being constructed on top of the former Astral Fountain) is underway, signaling that the countdown to the first-ever MMC – NYC has begun. This one-of-a-kind skate park will be donated to the City of New York through the NYC Parks and Recreation Department’s “Adopt-A-Park” program. Pro skaters Chris Cole and Geoff Rowley, NY Skate Legend Steve Rodriguez and Joe Ciaglia, president of California Skateparks, led the design of the world-class street course.
